When I talk with people who aren’t very familiar with computers (or smartphones, cameras, etc.), they often tell me they are “too stupid” or “too old” to learn.
Neither of these statements is true.
First and foremost, they are not stupid, neither are you. Secondly, nobody is ever too old to learn. Perhaps they didn’t need these specific skills or maybe didn’t have the time, but most of these people have skills in areas that others have no knowledge of. The skills they have were learned; computers are no different.
I find there are two different types of people who normally ask for assistance;
Those who have a problem or issue and have an interest in learning how to fix it
Those who don’t have an interest in learning this particular skill and just want the problem gone
That’s why there are two options to chose from. This way you are neither pushed into learning something you have no interest in (because nobody enjoyed the subjects they weren’t interested in at school), nor do you need to get frustrated by experimenting with different solutions.
Unless you really REALLY want to!
